After much anticipation, we are pleased to announce the release of our global SMS services to support our job board software. The SMS service allows site owners to purchase SMS credits in bulk, and resell credits to job seekers and employers. This added revenue stream will be a value added service for site owners seeking for ways to monetize their online recruitment site.
The SMS application uses a third party API account managed by xpandedmedia.com, which provides real time SMS alerts globally based on a number of factors.
1. Administrator alerts are triggered by key events such as company registrations, ecommerce transactions and bulk SMS broadcasts. These alerts can be turned on and off at will and are only delivered when sufficient SMS credit exists under the account profile. Administrators can also allocate SMS credits to job seekers, companies and agencies and also view SMS transaction logs and message history and customize the data of automated SMS messages to display specific content.
2. Job seekers can subscribe to premium SMS alerts via subscription. The premium SMS alerts are built into the automated job alerts module and can be customized by industry, location and frequency. In order to subscribe to premium SMS alert services job seekers must first obtain credits. The SMS credit management tools are integrated into the checkout cart for job seekers and transaction update and allocate SMS credit to the job seekers account.
3. Employers can subscribe to premium SMS alerts to compliment their recruitment services. Alerts can be received for new job application notifications and premium resume alert subscriptions to notify employers in real time of a specialized candidate that has registered on the site and matches the employers alert profile settings and frequency.
With the evolving changes in mobile recruiting, xpandedMedia.com aims to spear head the drive of this new service to offer our clients added marketability, marketing exposure and additional revenue streams. Future developments of this service will include 2 way messaging, where employers, administrators and job seekers can respond to SMS messages to activate key system events such as credit authorizations, job applications and interview confirmations. Stay tuned for this in 2010.
